Richard's work has appeared in Black Eye from Rotland Press, plus the Oxford American, Vice Magazine, Stripburger, The Stool Pigeon, and many anthologies of contemporary comics.

Enquiries : richardcowdry@gmail.com
"I could have easily read a book full of these strips, and their mix of social & political commentary and flawless comedic timing make them unusual in the world of comics." -Rob Clough (Review here)

"I am an ardent admirer of your work-- the sense of timelessness in your images that connects to the great newspaper strips and animation of the past, the simplicity of line, and most of all the humor. "Lifer" and "Fat Chaplin" are wonderful!"-Ryan Standfest

"Cowdry is an excellent cartoonist. His artwork is clean and crisp, his characters jump off the pages in moments of brilliant insight, twisted humor, and comical slapstick." -Poopsheet

"Keep up the good work" - Peter Bagge

MY BOOKS...

The Comix Reader The satirical comics tabloid which I edit.
"There really is no reason not to pick it up next time you're in a comic shop." - Existential Ennui
"the most alternative of the current anthology set" - Richard Bruton

The Bedsit Journal Three issues available.
"I found it deeply amusing... Keep up the good work"-Roger Sabin
"it was really refreshing to read"-Alexander Zograf
"very nicely produced, with offset printing on good quality paper. The humor is outrageous, sarcastic, and sometimes raunchy"-Poopsheet
"intimate and promising series." -WordPress.com
"works of disturbingly attractive fatalism and pessimism"- The List
"there is a thick dark streak of humour running through this collection..."-Suicide Notes
